Initial stages of marine operations with the LSP-2 support block
The project for the development of the deposit. Yu Korchagin, as part of the first phase, provided for the installation of a residential complex (LSP-2) of an ice-resistant stationary platform (LSP-1).
The structure of the housing complex LSP-2 included a support block (OB), and a superstructure (BC). OB and VS were fabricated at the factory for production of construction metal structures of OOO LUKOIL-KMN and were delivered by waterways to the Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association (AFS) for further consolidation and transportation to the deposit. Yu. Korchagin for final installation. In the beginning of October 2008 blocks of OB and VS residential complex began to arrive at the shipbuilding yard of AFS for completion and consolidation. In early April 2009, OB and VS residential complex were ready to be transported to the deposit. Yu. Korchagin.
Positioning and installation of the LSP-2 support block on the seabed
For carrying out sea operations on LSP-2 vessels were involved both OOO LUKOIL-KMN and other shipping companies. In addition, floating cranes "VOLGAR" with a payload capacity of 1600 tons and "BOGATYR-3" with a payload capacity of 300 tons, which are the property of the company "Crane Marine Contractor", were used for carrying out the operation of positioning, installation of the support block and piling works.
On April 24th, 2009, auxiliary towing vessels began towing the VOLGAR submarine to the VG. Yu. Korchagin for conducting offshore operations with the LSP-2 support block.
On May 1, 2009, the "VOLGAR" oil & Yu. Korchagin proceeded to conduct sea operations with the LSP-2 support block. "VOLGAR" was equipped with additional anchor winches for more reliable fixation in space during sea operations.
The main task of the floating crane "VOLGAR" was to take the most part of the load on itself and the exact installation of the support block according to the design location. The weight of the support block is 1200 tons.
After the preliminary positioning of the floating crane "VOLGAR", the LSP-2 support block was sloped to the hooks of the main lifts of the VOLGAR. With the help of anchor winches, four regular pull-out propulsive-steering columns, special positioning equipment and specialists serving this equipment, the "VOLGAR" submarine was oriented at the rate and location for starting the operations of immersion of the LSP-2 support block.
Before the immersion of the support block, a diving survey of the seabed was carried out directly at the installation site. As the dive was progressing (by ballasting), the control of the LSP-2 support block was carried out continuously.
Immediately before installation, the final correction of the position of the support block was made to the bottom, after which it was installed on the ground.
The LSP-2 was immersed in accordance with a specially developed ballasting instruction. The order and sequence of the ballast operations ensured the safety of the immersion of the support block and the personnel on it.
The end of the operation to install the LSP-2 support block at the operating point.
After installation on the ground, it was determined the correspondence of the actual location of the support block to the project, the diving survey was carried out, followed by the stitching of the involved rigging. At the end of the operation, the vessels lifted from the seabed and sampled the mooring raid equipment on their own deck. Dismantled all the removable equipment (mooring lines and tow ropes).
Piling works
After the departure of the submarine "VOLGAR" from the place of the sea operations pile works began, on which BOGATYR-3 was used. During pile-driving works, underwater video surveillance was provided with the help of controlled TV equipment. Pile-driving operations continued from 02.05 to 06.05.2009.
Initial stages of marine operations with the upper structure of LSP-2.
On May 16, 2009, the upper structure of the LSP-2 submarine, VOGAR, was loaded onto the twin barges "TOM & WIM" for transportation to the " Yu. Korchagin. On May 17, 2009, auxiliary towing vessels began towing the VOLGAR subway and the upper structure of the LSP-2 to the Ya. Yu. Korchagin for marine operations.
Positioning and installation of the upper structure on the LSP-2 support block.
Preliminary positioning of the "VOLGAR" sub-station regarding the design location of the superstructure and the final installation were made with the use of mooring equipment and mooring and raiding equipment that were used on the support block installation. The weight of the upper structure is 1600 tons.
On May 21, 2009, the "VOLGAR" oil and gas deposit in the name of " Yu. Korchagin proceeded to conduct sea operations with the upper structure of LSP-2. By the end of the day on May 21, 2009 the top structure of LSP-2 was successfully installed on the support block.
The result of sea operations with LSP-2
In April-May 2009, the company "Crane Marine Contractor" successfully carried out sea operations on:
positioning and placing on the ground of the support block of the housing module LSP-2 (weight - 1200 tons);
pile driving of the LSP-2 support block in the amount of 15 pieces (weight of 1 pile - 100 tons);
installation of the upper structure on the LSP-2 support block (weight - 1600 tons).
